Cute storage!

I saw these darling vinyl and fabric bags at the Make It and Love It blog (http://www.makeit-loveit.com/2011/12/clear-toy-storage-bags-with-drawstring-closure.html) and fell in love with them. We even have the same Lego set that she shows in one of her bags. I knew I needed these cute bags for our toys. I made two for us, one for a baby shower (the one photographed alone), and then a variation of the bag that I use as a thread/scrap box while I'm sewing. I loved the selvedge on that fabric, so I included it. I'm sure I will make several more of these! They are way cuter in person--I'm a terrible photographer.

Stockings! and a quilt

Long time no post! I know we are all busy. I have so many projects in my mind. I'm getting a few done, little by little. I made us Christmas stockings a couple of years ago, but I never really liked them. Hence, new ones shown here. I quilted them and I just love how they turned out. Also shown is a quilt I made for Jack.

A Fun Pillow

Jack loves to play with my fabrics, and while we were playing with the scraps one day, I got inspired to design this pillow. I just love it! One of my favorite parts is the striped fabric on the edging.

Squares Quilt

Here is a quilt I just finished! I started it last fall but got interrupted by other projects, including having James. :) Anyway, it is done and I think it is my favorite of the quilts I've made so far. This will be my cozy curl-up-to-watch-a-movie quilt. I actually quilted it by hand because I don't enjoy trying to maneuver a big quilt through the sewing machine. I just hand-quilted around 20 squares on the quilt, so it didn't take very long. I backed it with a cute letter fabric that I used two different colors of on the front (red and turquoise). Just love it. All of the fabrics are ones I already had on hand and just noticed went well together.

Caterpillar Quilt

Here is the quilt I made to go with the pillow. Now these are on the floor in Jack's room and we read books with them!
